Billboard has just unveiled their year-end charts. 

On 3 December, the music company recapped the year in music, revealing the top songs, artists, and albums that have defined 2021. 

Dua Lipa floated right to the top this year, with her hit single 'Levitating' earning the No. 1 spot on Billboard's 'Year-end Hot 100 Chart'. The track initially debuted at No. 2 on the music chart in October 2020 and has never left since, staying in the top 40 every week of 2021.

With 'Levitating', Dua Lipa has earned the record for the most times (41 weeks) in the Hot 100 top 10 for a female artist, and second overall, following The Weeknd's 57-week run in 2020 for 'Blinding Lights'

Speaking of The Weeknd, the R&B act rounds out the Hot 100 top with 'Save Your Tears' featuring Ariana Grande and  'Blinding Lights' at No. 2 and No. 3 respectively. He is also Billboard's Top 3 Artist of the year, right behind Drake and Olivia Rodrigo

Across the board, Olivia Rodrigo has had a great year. The 7-time GRAMMY-nominated act had a breakout debut earlier this year and has since solidified herself as a force in the music industry.

The young singer-songwriter is this year's overall Top Female Artist, Top New Artist, No. 1 Hot 100 Artist, No. 1 Hot 100 Songwriter, and is the Top 2 Artist of 2021. 

The 'traitor' hitmaker's tracks are also over the Hot 100 songs of 2021 with 'good 4 u' at No. 4, 'drivers license' at No. 8, and 'deja vu' at No. 13. 

While BTS continue their reign as one of this year's hottest acts, earning the overall Top Duo/Group of the year, and having the No. 1 World Album for BEthe No. 1 Global (Exclu. US) song with 'Butter'and the No. 1 Digital Sales Song with 'Dynamite'

Also on the top is Drake, earning this year's No. 1 spot for Top Artist, Top R&B/Hip-Hop Artist, and Top Rap Artist. While Taylor Swift emerges as 2021's No. 1 Billboard 200 Artist, and No. 1 Top Album Sales Artist.
