Grimes’ newest project with Endel, ‘AI Lullaby’, can help you sleep better

Have life’s turmoils (like COVID-19) been keeping you awake? Grimes’ newest innovation with Endel might just help you with your much-needed shut-eye.

In a collaboration with German tech company Endel, the ‘Oblivion’ singer has launched AI Lullaby, a limited edition soundscape aided by artificial intelligence to help you fall asleep. The ambient sounds under the project are created with original vocals and exclusive, never-heard-before music.

Aimed to help both children and adults, AI Lullaby supposedly “adapts in real-time to your location, weather, and natural light exposure”. It’s part of Grimes’ vision of the future, although the creation was inspired by her seeking a “better baby sleeping situation” for her son with Elon Musk, X Æ A-XII Musk, according to The New York Times

“This project is basically live remixing of ambient music by robots for babies, haha,” wrote Grimes, on AI Lullaby’s website

This is not Grimes’ first venture into tech. Come November, the synth-pop artist will also be appearing as Lizzy Wizzy, the frontwoman of Lizzy Wizzy and the Metadwarves in Cyberpunk 2077, an upcoming and highly-anticipated action role-playing game.

Get the full version on the Endel app here, for iOS and macOS until December 23, 2020. AI Lullaby will be available on Amazon Alexa and Android later this year.

Proceeds from AI Lullaby will be channelled towards A.I. for Everyone and the Naked Heart Foundation.
