Kjwan's self-titled debut album is getting its first vinyl press soon.

On Wednesday (23/02), the Filipino rock act announced that they've teamed up with Backspacer Records to release their 2004 eponymous debut album on red vinyl in the third quarter of 2022. The record includes their breakthrough single 'Daliri', as well as the crowd-favourites, 'Boomerang' and 'Surface'.

Independently released, Kjwan was written, produced, and recorded by its original line up Marc Abaya (vocals), Kelley Mangahas (bass), Jorel Corpus (guitar), and J-hoon Balbuena (drums).

It was originally mixed and mastered by Angee Rozul at Tracks Studios.

"In 2003, we were irreverent young men who wanted to conquer the world. Our music was driven by reckless energy and irreverent improvisation," Marc Abaya shares with Bandwagon. "By the time we hit Tracks Studio, the songs were already crafted and tested by playing together in rehearsal studios and bar gigs. Everything happened so fast… Listening to our first album again, it’s clear that our producer, Angee Rozul, wanted to capture the unpredictability of our music: it was raw, naked, flawed, violent and sexy."

Pre-order details for Kjwan's debut album on vinyl will be announced soon.
