PhilPop Bootcamp kicks off with its first leg for 2019

PhilPop Bootcamp kicked off its first leg with a promising group of aspiring musicians in this year's edition of the songwriting competition.

From May 27 to 30, PhilPop hosted the first leg of its 2019 bootcamp at Club Balai Isabel in Batangas for its intensive songwriting mentorship and training program. PhilPop Executive Director Dinah Remolacio says that the camp aims to create a safe space for artists to be creative and vulnerable. "Guided by the coaches and music professionals who are also products of the foundation programs, we want fellows to create a positive impact through a platform that respects their craft and helps them become prepared in the outside world as future industry professionals."

The first leg of PhilPop Bootcamp 2019 was led by coaches Maestro Ryan Cayabyab, singer-songwriter Noel Cabangon, and composers Jungee Marcelo and Trina Belamide, who all did their part in providing constructive criticism and feedback to the campers.
