The five-track project, which serves as a "consolation to fans" before the singer's enlistment, features a guest appearance from Girls' Generation vocalist Taeyeon.

Advice is Taemin's follow-up to Never Gonna Dance Again: Act 2, which arrived last November. 2021 has been a busy year for the idol—he joined his bandmates in February for SHINee's seventh studio album Don't Call Me, which was followed by its repackaged edition, Atlantis. Additionally, Taemin also performed for SHINee's first online concert SHINee WORLD in April. Subsequently, he held his own online solo concert N.G.D.A (Never Gonna Dance Again) earlier this month. 

Advice will be Taemin's final project before he enlists into the military on 31 May. But before that, he is set to take part in a special concert titled SHINee DAY on 25 May for the group's 13th anniversary.
