'traitor' comes as the latest off of Olivia Rodrigo's debut album to get a music video, following 'drivers license', 'deja vu', 'good 4 u', and 'brutal'.
In an interview with Bandwagon, the singer-songwriter shared that Sour recounts the feelings of anger, jealousy, insecurity and sadness she experienced during her 17-year-old life.

"There's nothing like taking confusing feelings in your head and making a song about them. It's super empowering to see me write about being sad or insecure and see that like resonate with people making them feel less alone. I think that's one of the most empowering things that I've done in my life," shared Olivia.
