YG Entertainment joins forces with Big Hit Entertainment to "further expand global reach"

Two of the biggest entertainment houses have just joined forces. 

In an announcement made earlier today (27/01), YG Entertainment confirmed that they will be partnering with Big Hit Entertainment to further expand their reach in varied areas such as "content distribution, content, and media platforms".

"We have prepared a new turning point for both companies, which have been aiming to be the best in their respective fields. We will grow together through various collaborations that will influence the overall entertainment lifestyle," says the two entertainment agencies via a shared press release.

As part of the new partnership, artists and content from YG Entertainment will be included in Big Hit Entertainment's worldwide fan platform Weverse, while YG Entertainment plans to create an innovative model that can further provide fans enjoyable experiences and distribute Big Hit Labels' artists' merch, albums and more.

In addition to the announcement, Big Hit Entertainment also revealed that their subsidiary company beNX also recently invested into YG Entertainment subsidiary, YG PLUS.

YG Entertainment houses K-pop acts in the likes of BIG BANG, BLACKPINK, TREASURE, iKON, and more, while Big Hit Entertainment is home to BTS and TXT.
