It looks too good to be true, but thank your lucky stars it really is. Emo is making a comeback.
On Wednesday (19/01), the biggest 2000s emo bands shook the world by announcing When We Were Young Festival, a massive music festival headlined by My Chemical Romance and Paramore, happening in Las Vegas this 22 October 2022.

When We Were Young will also feature performances by the likes of The Used, Bring Me The Horizon, Boys Like Girls, Avril Lavigne, Taking Back Sunday, Anberlin, Jimmy Eat World, Glassjaw, Saosin, Four Year Strong, A Day To Remember, Pierce The Veil, Sleeping With Sirens, Dashboard Confessional, Bright Eyes, AFI, We The Kings, Dance Gavin Dance, The All-American Rejects, Hawthorne Heights, and many more.
The upcoming festival marks Paramore's return to the live stage after going on hiatus in 2018. Since then, vocalist Hayley Williams released her solo debut album Petals for Armor. It also comes after My Chemical Romance's massive 2019 reunion concert in Los Angeles. They are set to tour in 2022.

Live Nation has yet to announce whether When We Were Young will follow the trend of having a livestream to reach a global audience as BTS and Knotfest LA previously did last year.
