The roots of SB19 dig deeper into the ground as they grow toward a promising future.

On Thursday (07/22), fresh off their interview with Rolling Stone, the record-breaking P-Pop quintet behind 'Alab' and 'Hanggang Sa Huli' finally unveiled the latest chapter in their story with the release of their new EP, Pagsibol.

Literally translated as "germination" or the process of how seeds grow into plants in Filipino, Pagsibol is replete with emotional and empowering anthems that honor family, their loyal fanbase, and frontliners who are fighting the country's battle against the ongoing global pandemic. "The term also signifies our growth from the group’s formative years to where we are right now," the band share in a statement.

The 6-track offering includes the previously released singles 'WHAT?', 'MAPA', and 'Ikako', which were all met with critical acclaim. Pagsibol is also backed by co-producers Joshua Daniel NaseJay DuriasSimon Servida, and Thyro Alfaro.

In an interview with Bandwagon, Justin says, "Basically the songs on our album will be talking about pinagmulan or where we come from. It will also talk about how we are going to start from our pinagmulan. Kung paano kami magsisimula as an artist."

"[Fans] will get a glimpse of our paths and what we went through," SB19 reveal. "We consider this EP to be very meaningful as everything is from us—the conceptualization, the creative process, the totality of the product itself."

To further impact the launch of Pagsibol, SB19 teamed up with Spotify for a new campaign called SB19 A'TIN To! to showcase Filipino pride and tell the group's story through audio and visual art. SB19 fans (also known as A'TIN), can also expect to catch some exclusive content on Spotify's Tatak Pinoy playlist.

SB19 and Spotify tapped six Filipino visual artists to collaborate on translating the stories of Pagsibol as paintings on roving jeepneys as part of the campaign. These artists include Ang Gerilya for 'WHAT?', Soleil Ignacio of 'MAPA', Nelz Yumul for 'Mana', Jappy Agoncillo for 'Bazinga', Anina Rubio for 'Ikako', and June Digan for 'SLMT'.

“It’s been wonderful to be a part of SB19’s journey; watching their growth from RADAR artists to today reaching listeners all over the world," Kossy Ng, Spotify’s Head of Music for Asia says in a statement. "We are thrilled to get behind the launch of Pagsibol through this campaign and allowing fans, not only in the Philippines, but all over the world to experience their music. Spotify continues to champion the vibrant Philippine music scene by connecting more artists and fans."
